A red wasp infestation in or near your house can be a real pain.
Although not aggressive in ones and twos, when they nest in your attic or in the trees in your yard they may soon start to become a problem. Once their numbers reach a certain level, they become territorial. They will no longer see it as your house, but their territory which you are invading.
How do you get rid of red wasps?
How do you kill red wasps? The only long term solution is to get an exterminator in. They’ll have the knowhow, the tools and the expertise to know how to tackle the situation. It takes skill just to identify the location of the nest. Once the situation reaches a critical level, you’ll have no choice but to call in exterminators. But it’s worth calling them in even at an early stage. You’ll want to get rid of them for good early on when the job is easier. This is not something you want to put off as the problem will get increasingly worse.
Are red wasps poisonous?
Red wasps have a nasty sting, but they will not cause any long term damage. However, if you are allergic to wasp stings, they may cause anaphylactic shock.
If you see one or two red wasps buzzing around, don’t worry too much. They feed off insects rather than dead meat (most wasps will buzz around when you’re eating a burger because they feed off dead meat) so they are unlikely to disturb you. They are not aggressive until there are many of them in an area.
Be quick to treat any infestation of red wasps.
